What is beam system and how does it work

Beam system is active infrared detector. It is consist of transmitter terminal, receive terminal, Optical lens, LED indicator for light intensity etc. The system works as invisible light wall. When someone is entering into the light wall, it blocked the beams. Then the detector triggers alarm for warning and notice. The beam system keeps working 24 hours.photoelectric beam system
To avoid false alarm of blocking by falling leaves, flying bird or small animals, the blocking time should be set not too short. But to ensure no missing alarm of quick passing theft, the blocking time should be set not too long. So, the blocking time or named sensitivity should be set accurately according to the environment. Factories may make the sensitivity adjustable at set value. Below is the sensitivity adjustment way for Solar powered beams system.
HB-T001Q3+ is updated item of HB-T001Q3. It has new features of including LCD calibrator and trigger sensitivity adjusting. With built-in LCD calibrator, the transmitter terminal and receiver terminal can be easy calibrated for working.
Moreover, HB-T001Q3+ trigger sensitivity can be adjusted by customer. Below is the steps to adjust the trigger sensitivity of HB-T001Q3+.
How to program the sensitivity of the solar beams
Sensitivity of the solar beams divided into 2 types: 200ms(factory default) and 100ms
Please follow up the operation steps if you want to switch the sensitivity of the beams to be 100ms
Step 1: Turn on the solar beams by press the ON/OFF button 3 times (both the transmitter and receiver)

Step 3: Press the ON/OFF button 6 times (both the transmitter and receiver)

Step 7: Program successfully when you hear bleep prompt
There are three types beams system. They are infrared beams, infrared grating, and infrared light wall. They are applied at different situation. Infrared beam is installed on wall or fence. It has 3Infrared light wall beams or 4 beam, 6 beams and length is short compared with other two types. So, it should be installed over the wall or fence or with bracket and pole to get enough protection height. But it has maximum 100 meters detection length. Infrared grating is used for windows, balcony or gate. It has 4 beams or 8 beams and with 620 mm to 1200 mm. The detection distance is 10 meters only. Infrared light wall is used for fixing on ground and can have lamp on cover.

1、How many zones can connect to panel?
For the moment ,we have 9 sets of host unit , the least one support 4 defense zones, the most one can be up to 1000 zones. If you wanna more zones, we can make according to your requirement.
2、Are your devices working at low temperature (-2 to 15 degrees) in winter time, (17 to 55 degrees) during summer time?
Our detector supported working temperature range :-30C~70C.
We have been sold this product more than 10 years, we have long-term partner in bad weather countries such as Russia、Africa.
3、Are these solar alarms compatible with ademco alarm systems?
We total have 9 sets of alarm host:
Ademco available:HB-BJQ560-A; HB-BJQ560-B; HB-2020C;HB-3030C;HB-G250.
Ademco unavailable: HB-MFR;HB-2020A;HB-3030A;HB-G10
4、what distances can products achieve?
The infrared detection distance for infrared beam is 100 meter, for infrared grating is 10 meter and for infrared light wall is 20-50 meter. The wireless transmission distance is 800-1000 meter. It meets FCC and CE certificate.
5、Do you need a tool to calibrate the transmitter and receiver beams?
Laser pointer is used for calibration of detection distance exceed 50 meter. HB-T001Q3+ has built-in calibrator already.
  1. Infrared grating series: no need laser pointer, because the infrared distance is only 10m , you just need make sure the grating be installed in the same horizontal and vertical plane.
  2. Garden Light&Detector series:no need laser pointer, because the infrared distance is only 20m-50m , you just need make sure the Detector be installed in the same horizontal and vertical plane.
  3. Photoelectric beam sensor series: Infrared distance is 100m. You need to use the laser pointer. HB-T001Q3+ is with built-in LCD calibrator and not need extra laser pointer.
 Remarks :After installation, verify the sensors whether be well mounted.(watch the video and the manuals).
6、I need to know how to match the beams with each type of system and how they work?
  • Firstly: turn on the sensors
  • Secondly: set the alarm host into coding status
  • Thirdly: trigger the sensor, so the alarm host can remember the sensor

7、What is the lifespan of the standby battery?
The lifespan of the battery is more than 10 years.Firstly,Our battery is LFP battery ,its cycle recharge time is 2000 times.Secondly,the capacity of the battery is 500mAh, while standby current consume only 0.5mAh,the sensors can normally work more than 15days without solar charging. So we can got: 2000times (LFP battery cycle recharge time)X15days(standby time)=30000days(about 82 years),deduct any other factors,10 years is available.
8、Please tell me more about perimeter defense. If total fence length to protect is 2800 meters, how many pairs beams are needed?
The working principle of our sensors is the same as wired sensor. One pair beams is needed for every 100 meter. If there is corner or wall is not straight, then add more beams.
Remarks: If wireless distance between sensor and host unit exceed 3km,Signal Repeater (HB-ZFQ) is suggested, one Repeater can enlarge wireless distance 3km,currently we support 4 grades, that’s say we can use 4 ZFQ without signal interference, and wireless distance:4-levels transmission X1km/grade=4000m.so more larger defense area is realized.
9、Does the beam system work at days without sunshine,  like UK climate?
Firstly, Our solar panel is made of amorphous material. It can convert light to electric even in cloudy or rainy days,without any direct sunshine. While at rainy days ,the solar panel can generate 2mA current to the battery .Wireless solar beams linkage
Secondly, the static power of our sensors is only 1% of traditional wired
sensor(static power:0.5mA).Besides:the sensors have high-capacity LFP battery inside,can keep the sensors working much more than 15 days without charging.
10、What is the extension of the wireless signal of the signal repeater HB-ZFQ?
Without any obstruction, one transponder can enlarge 3KM wireless distance. Currently we support 4 grades transmission, that’s say we can use 4 ZFQ without signal interference. wireless distance:4 grades transmission X3km/grade=12KM.

11、Is there a signal repeater HB-ZFQ with solar panel?
For the moment, we don’t have solar wireless signal repeater.If that’s necessary to your project, we’ll provide a solar powered device for the repeater.
12、Also please confirm if the wireless link is one way or duplex?
Our wireless link is one way, that is to say sensors transmit wireless signal to host , but host cant send signal to control the sensors. While our sensors will self-check every 2 minutes, if any problem (e.g. low-battery、invalid、light interference etc.) ,Sensors will immediately report to host.
13、What is the mechanism your system uses in order to detect stealing of sensors or jammer the signal in order to tamper the system?
Firstly, the working principle of our sensors is Active infrared detecting, so if any terminal is moved or damaged, sensors will report to host at once. Same time,host will indicate abnormity (e.g. alarming ,invalid , light interference).
Secondly ,the wireless transmission technology we made is FSK + FHSS technology,it has strong ability to anti-interference.( e.g. once sensor was Triggered), it will send 3 signals to host (3 different frequency points),and host can receive these signals independently. This anti-interference technology makes our products more competitive in same line.
14、Do they check status with the sensors , like a test signal? How often?
Our solar sensors will self-check every 2 minutes, if any problem (e.g. low-battery、invalid、 light interference etc.) ,Sensors will immediately report to host.
15、Do your sensors have anti-masking features?
The sensors adopt FSK + FHSS technology,it has strong ability to anti-interference. i.e. once sensor was triggered, it will send 3 signals to host(3 different frequency points),and host can receive these signals independently. This anti-interference technology makes our products more competitive in same line.
16、Do the sensors come with the brackets?
Brackets for sensors are not included in package. If necessary, we’ll configure brackets to your order,but it’s better to purchase in your location, common size is OK.
17、What frequency is this transmitting on and do you have GSM notification by text to cellphones for your products?Our frequency 433MHz (FSK+FHSS technology) once sensor was triggered, it will send 3 signals to host(3 different frequency points),and host can receive these signal independently. 19、the wireless is APPROVED for Canada? What frequency is it? And how far will it work?

20、Are these just sensors or do they act like an alarm system that can report to A central monitoring station for supervision.

21、But I’m wondering if the sensibility could be adjusted?
Most of our sensors’ sensitivity can be adjusted by customers. Kindly attention that unusual sensitivity will result in false alarm, such as free falling object. Adjust sensors’ sensitivity as follows:
  1. PIR series:there is a Jumper inside–30S/120S(Item No.HB-T201;HB-T205)
  2. Infrared detector series(Items those can be hand-made):
Regular sensitivity alarming time:200ms (HB-T001S4;HB-T001S8;HB-T001Q3+;HB-T001Q4;HB-T001Q6;HB-T001Q8) Regular sensitivity alarming time:100ms (HB-T002A8;HB-T002S8;HB-T002S8-D)

22、What happens if a bee, or a bird passes through the IR-fence?Bee or bird flying cant trigger the sensor?
Bee of Bird flying will not trigger the sensors
Firstly, if obstacle freely falls and pass through defense area, sensors will not alarm.
Secondly, if 3 infrared holes can’t completely blocked by material, sensors will not alarm.
So, compared with other sensors,our products more effective in reducing false alarm.
23、The IR beams works at 433 MHz?, Could work with other alarms also at 433MHz, or only with your alarm host?
The sensors adopt 433MHz (FSK+FHSS technology) once sensor was triggered, it will send 3 signals to host (3 different frequency points),and host can receive these signals independently. This anti-interference technology makes our products more competitive in same line.
Moreover, the code modulation of our detectors is private protocol, so the detectors are hardly directly match up with third-party 433Mhz alarm host.But we have two ways to contact with third party host.
Firstly ,we have switch outputs adapter to convert wireless signal to wired signal to third-party host(on condition that third-party host has wired zones)
Secondly, Send detailed technical parameters of your host to us,we’ll adjust our sensors and pair with your host ,need to mention that will reduce wireless distance and anti-interference function.

How to avoid CO carbon monoxide poisoning

Carbon monoxide poisoning can cause serious damage to the brain tissue. Even if cured, it may remain a sequela of central nerve injury.
How to avoid carbon monoxide poisoning?
We need to know at what situations the carbon monoxide may produced.
  1. Coal burning
Coal burning is used for heating or cooking. If the coal is not completely burning, it will being producing amount of carbon monoxide. If the room is closed or unventilated, carbon monoxide poisoning occurs.
  1. Combustible gas water heatercarbon monoxide alarm
Combustible gas is used for water heater for some homes. If the gas water heater is installed in bathroom and with door and window closed, the gathered carbon monoxide will cause poisoning. So, it is better not installing gas water heater in bathroom.
  1. Stay or sleep in vehicle with air conditioner turning on
When the running speed of the vehicle engine is slow, the gasoline is not burning completely and will produce amount of carbon monoxide. The produced carbon monoxide will blow into the car through air conditioner.
What symptoms are carbon monoxide poisoning?
Slight headache, fatigue, dizziness, nausea is symptoms of mild carbon monoxide poisoning.
Frontal headaches, flush on face, very red lips, much sweat, fast heart rate, restless and entering into coma. That is the symptoms of moderate poisoning.
Dizziness, nausea and convulsions, unconsciousness, body temperature rising. That is the symptoms of severe carbon monoxide poisoning.
What should we do if someone has carbon monoxide poisoning?Help CO poisoning patient
Cause carbon monoxide poisoning will injure brain tissue and the poisoned person can not move or ask for help by himself.
If carbon monoxide poisoned person is found, the helper should creep to the scene and open door and windows quickly. Move the poisoned person to a ventilated and warm place and keep him or her lying.

How to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning?
For the resident who uses coal to keep warm, the chimney should be installed in the room where fireplace is in.
Open door or windows when coal oven is used for cooking or heating.
Do not install gas water heater in bathroom. It should be installed outdoor or near the windows of room neighbor bathroom.
Do not sleep or stay in vehicle with door and windows closed. Should timely open window for ventilation when air conditioner is turning on for long distance driving.
Install Carbon Monoxide AlarmCarbon monoxide detector
CO Carbon Monoxide Alarm is a security detector for sensing CO and triggering sound and light alarm if the monitored carbon monoxide density reaches to set value. It can be easy installed with AC power supply or connected to home security system. Where should we install the carbon monoxide alarm? If your bedroom hallway is longer than 40 feet, install a CO alarm at both ends of the hallway.  Install at least one CO alarm near or within each separate sleeping area. For added protection, install an additional CO alarm at least 20 feet (6 meters) away from the fireplace, furnance or fuel burning heat source.

The User should regularly test and mainten the fire alarm system. The BS5839-P1 makes the following recommendations.
Daily Check of fire alarm system
  1. Check that the panel indicates normal operation. If not,record any fault indications in the history log and report to the responsible person.
  2. Check that any fault records from the previous day has received attention.
Monthly Check of fire alarm system
  1. Operate at least one manual call point or detector [different device each month] to ensure the system operating
  2. Check the alarmwarning devices have operated and then reset the panel. 3. Any defect should be reported and recorded in the log book.
  3. Action should be taken to correct the defect.
Quarterly Check of fire alarm system
  1. Check entries in the log book and take any necessary action.
  2. Inspect the batteries and their connections.
  3. Operate at least one manual call point or detector [different device each zone] to ensure the system operating
  4. Check all the alarm warning devices have operated and then reset the panel.
  5. Check that all function of the control panel operates by simulating fault conditions.
  6. Visually check that structure alternation against any corrosion due to environmental effect.
  7. Any defect should be reported and recorded in the log book. Action should be taken to correct the defect.
Annually Check of fire alarm system
  1. Carry out an inspection as detail for this quarterly inspection.
  2. Every detector should be tested in the site.
  3. All cable fittings and equipment should be checked to ensure that they are secure and undamaged.
Fire Alarm Systems Trouble Shooting
  1. No indication on the panel or abnormal indication
Power is abnormal. Loose connection with switchboard.
Check and replace low voltage switch power. Check the connection to display board.
  1. Display “AC Fault” after power-up
No AC power.  Check and connect AC wire.
3. Display “Battery Fault” after power-up
Loose connection with battery. Battery discharged or damaged. Open the power box and check relative parts. Power up for more than eight hours with the AC power supply, if the fault still exists, replace the batteries.
4. Unable to register loop equipment
Bus wrong or loose connection. Check the loop
5. Some detectors can not be registered
Disconnect the bus line to the detector, measure the bus line voltage. If it is ok, then maybe the sensor and the base is not well connected. Or the detector coding is repeated or out of coding number. Re-code the detector.
6. The detector is registered but not trigger fault alarm when it is disconnected.
The detector address is bypassed. Or the fire alarm control panel is under fire alarm now. Or fire alarm control panel is fault
7.False alarm
The fire alarm control panel makes false alarm.
Reset the fire alarm control panel. If it can be reset, then the false alarm is made by accidental factors such as environment interference. If some detector triggers multiple times fault alarm, then the detector should be replaced or change the installation place. If it can not be reset, then there is problem with the detectors and connection.
8.Unable to register repeater panels
Wrong or loose connection of communication cables. Check power supply to repeaters and communication wires
9.Cannot print
Print mode is disabled. Loose connection with printer. Printer damaged Enable the print mode. Check and connect the printer well. Replace the printer.
10.Equipment fault
Equipment disconnected. Equipment damaged. Check connection. Replace equipment.
11. Loop fault
Loop is shorted. Loop is Interruption (The devices are re-established within 100s) Check the loop and repair.
12.Clock or memory fault.
External interference. Corresponding parts are aging. Check if the FACP is properly earthed. Inform our technical service
13.Some keys do not work
Check if the keyboard is locked.
14. No output from detection circuit
Remove the detection circuit, measure the outside line voltage and check whether or not it is short-circuited. If not, check bus driver board to make sure whether or not it is damaged.

Fire Alarm System Troubles Resolve Solutions

Fire alarm system is professional security equipment. Different fire security equipment manufacturer has different design coding and programming methods. But general fire alarm system design and functions are similar. Below we will list some troubles and resolve solutions for the fire alarm system programming and operation.
1. Fire Bell, Siren strobe does not react when fire alarm is triggered.
Solutions:
A.Please check whether or not the indication LED is on.
B.Please check whether or not there is fault information of the fire bell, siren strobe on the fire alarm control panel.
C.Please check whether or not 24V power is supplied for the fire bell, siren strobe.
D.Please check whether or not the fire bell control module is set as remote sound or siren strobe
E.Please check whether or not the output of fire bell, siren strobe is active on linkage setting.
2. When fire alarm is triggered, some equipment has requested reaction, but there is no reaction from on spot equipment, why?
Solution:
The equipment feedback signal should be sent by control surveillance module. So, please check whether or not the on spot equipment status is set as automatic and can be turned on by control module. If it is set as automatic, then check the feedback signal wiring and make sure it is wired well.
3. Some circuit keeps reporting fault or feedback and then disappears automatically, why?
Solution:
The caution is equipment type is not compatible or there is strong interference from the circuit. If using menu operation to test the point, the waving can be seen from the diagram curve. Generally it is cause of bad connection between circuit signal GND with earth. Please measure the resistor of the GND circuit and at normal it should be more than 5mω.
Fire alarm troubles
4. Some circuit can only trigger alarm linkage once, after that no fire alarm or feedback can be activated, why?
Solution: There is short circuit between detector or module circuit with control module. So, please check the circuit.
5. The fire alarm control panel reports main power fault and backup power fault as well?
A.Please check and make sure the main power feedback wire is well connected.
B.Please check and make sure the alarm panel power setting of power feedback type is the type of actual used power.
6. What fault can be isolated and what fault can not be isolated?
When pressing the isolate key on the fire alarm panel, it can isolates all detectors and modules which are triggering alarms. From menu setting of detectors and modules, the isolation function can isolate detectors and modules on this machine only.
The isolation function can not isolate system fault such as panel communication fault, panel power fault, interface communication fault or circuit fault, printing fault, repeat display fault etc.
7. There is no fire alarm or fault alarm report from fire alarm control panel, but the detector or module inspection indication LED is flashing.
Solutions: Maybe there is interference signal on the circuit. Please disconnect the circuit, then connect part of the circuit to system and test, repeat doing it till problem is found.
Maybe there is module or detector positive and negative polarity reversal. Please remove the circuit from the alarm panel and measure the resistor of positive phase and reverse phase.
